The Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site – Poster Design and Animation

Tools: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects and Artivive

Objective: Create a series of two posters for a STEM related audience of your choosing that incorporates motion design.

Concept: These posters were created for the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site as an ad campaign to highlight his two most significant inventions, the telephone and the tetrahedral kite. Each poster animates to build the invention and encourage viewers to plan a trip to the site. Deliverables for this project included custom vector illustrations, two unique yet cohesive posters, and custom animations for each poster and invention.

Deliverables

  • Final posters were 18” x 24”, presented as both print and mockups. Each poster abstractly represents an invention and the invention is built and revealed once the poster is scanned and the animation plays.

  • Once scanned, the posters transform into the animation which builds the invention and encourages people to visit the site. The animations are attached at the bottom of this page.
